Help support Philly Music Hall, the east coast’s newest kink and sexuality educational center and play space! (And get some sweet perks!)
It’s super exciting to announce our local kink community in Philly is opening up a new space devoted to kink and sexuality education and community. The people behind this project are amazing humans, and have put so much work into creating this. But now we need your help! If you’re local, plan on visiting Philly, or just wanna help a great cause, check out the IndieGoGo link. Plus, there’s some amazing perks – memberships, party passes, intensives with world-renowned educators, and more. Both T and I will be contributing educational sessions as well – on photography and rope bottoming, respectively.
From the founders:
“We started with a dream. We wanted to build a center for our community. A place where anyone from any sex-positive walk of life would feel at home. A place for education, for discussion, and for debate. For play parties, for potlucks, and for games. For all of us. Kinksters, spankos, swingers, academics, pet players, queers, littles, poly and monogamous alike. An intentional space for anyone who identifies outside of mainstream sexual culture. We’ve been working on this idea for over four years, and we are on the verge of tipping from dream to reality. The building is purchased, and it’s beautiful. Events are lined up, and they’re going to be awesome. Policies are written, and they’re comprehensive.
We’ve had a lot of help. We have some absolutely amazing people who have supported us, given us critiques and ideas, and donated to us. Our gratitude to them cannot be stated enough. We wouldn’t be here without that collective effort.
Now, we need your help to make the last push.
Today, we’re launching the Philly Music Hall crowdfunding campaign. We need a lot of capital to finish our renovations, tear down walls, paint, craft beautiful play equipment, purchase couches and chairs, install premium sound and lighting equipment, and pay our web developers. We want to have this space live up to its full potential, so that all of our overlapping communities can have the home they deserve.
While we would love for you to support us just because spaces like this should exist, we’re not just asking you to just give us money for nothing (though, of course, that’s cool too.)We’ve been given the opportunity to give out a ton of awesome perks for donors. Exclusive funder-only Philly Music Hall shirts, memberships, intensives with amazing educators, photo shoots with famous photographers, tickets to events like RambleGRUE and Fusion, months of membership, custom baking orders, housecleaning services, naming rights and design consultations on our aftercare room, and more! Event producers, vendors and educators in our community have thrown a ton of support to our mission, and YOU can benefit from it!
If you’re interested in any of that stuff, please see our IndieGoGo page and show your support!”

Support your local kink “community center.” No really, support it. Even if it’s not for you. Even if you don’t participate in their contact events it’s good to participate in their discussions. Yeah, some of them can be pretty cliquish, even insular. But they’ll stay that way till more of the rest of us get involved.
