Hi smut mom! i learnt today that women can be pregnant without knowing it, still have their periods, be on the pill, protected intercourse. its like a denial idk the right term bc im not fluent in english. And the minute they find out the belly starts to grow. How crazy is that?? Since then i’ve been scared sooo much lol. Knowing im new to sex, have you ever been that scared of unwanted pregnancies in your early sex journey? Is it normal to think about it so much?

Yes! Yes! and I’ll say it one more time… Hell Yes!

I was still scared of getting pregnant right up until the day before I went in for my hysterectomy. There was a time I wanted kids but it wasn’t in the cards for me. Then later in life, even though I knew with that it would be very unlikely for me to get pregnant due to the many female problems I had, I knew that at my age getting pregnant was the last thing I needed.

So, yes, I think for any normal young girl/lady who is just starting their sexual journey (and women of any age really never stop thinking about that possibility as long as they are still capable of having children) and who doesn’t want to have a baby until they are ready, it is a very natural fear.

Of course, as history has proven, our desire for/to be sexually fulfilled has made a many of us, and not just ladies, to go and do spur of the moment things without thinking or we think that… Hey, I can have sex just this one time and not have anything happen. And that kind of thinking will get you knocked up in a hurry.

It’s normal, hon, and as long as you practice safe sex, then you know that you are doing everything within your power that you can to prevent it.

Good luck on your journey, hon.

OMG, after one bad scare, one single slip up with my first girlfriend I decided fertility was NOT for me.

I just stopped coming in my partners if they weren’t at least on the pill. Couldn’t do it!

So I got my first vasectomy at age 21. Such an incredible relief to be able to take responsibility for real contraception. (Because condoms are better than nothing. Barely!)
