I’ll never forget touring Abraham Lincon’s house in Springfield, Illinois. We were being shepherded through a bedroom by a cute ranger who was running the tour. About the same time saw my face in a weird little palm-sized mirror on a wall te ranger said: “That’s Lincoln’s shaving mirror, he was extremely tall.”
And I remember muttering, like an idiot, “but I thought he was tall!” And some else on the tour said “mister, you’re tall!”
He was only 56 when he died!
