Sometimes daddy needs to lay on top of me and listen to my heart beat
Sometimes daddy needs me to get him medicine and massage his back when he hurts
Sometimes daddy needs to know it’s okay for him to cry
Sometimes daddy needs me to hold him until he falls asleep
Sometimes daddy needs to lay his head on my lap while I play with his hair
Sometimes daddy needs me to be the one to let him know everything will be okay
Sometimes daddy needs to be the one who gets taken care of and that’s okay because I love him. And love isn’t ever a one way street.
