Oooh!!!  Copper-plated buckles and fittings are so pretty!  And absurdly uncommon.

The Victorians who popularized bondage (and most of our modern fetishes including the intensely disciplined, orgasm-denial-kink “missionary position”) used black leather and nickel-plated metal horse and pony gear because it was extremely cheap, universally available, not because it was elegant, fashionable, or more erotic.  They were the Victorian equivalent of zip ties and duct tape.

As a fan of bondage and a former professional leatherworker I’m always happy to see someone doing something (anything) different with leather.  Even if it’s just using copper to better match someone’s skin tones.
