thetriskeliondiaries:

In case y’all are confused.

Minors do not belong in kink.

Minors do not belong in kink.

I know of where I speak.

I was a minor when I started. I lied about my age. I’ve written about this time and time again.

Minors. Do. Not. Belong. In. Kink.

Bluntly, if you’re under 18 and you’re reading this? You gotta go. You need to wait. Nothing was hurt by waiting but a lot of things are hurt by rushing.

Minors DO. NOT. BELONG IN KINK.

Amplifying.

Honestly, no matter what age you, when it comes to kink it’s just way better to learn to “walk before you crawl.” Kink relationships work only if you know how to have relationships. Power exchange is only healthy if you know how to do power sharing. Kinky sex is 1000x better if you know how to have, ask for, give, and receive vanilla sex.

Kinky sex is unhealthy and dysfunctional if you don’t have mad negotiating skills, good boundary-setting experience, and a clear sense of yourself.

Older, experienced partners almost by definition short-circuit that really important core development.

All these things take time. All these things are learned best with your peers. Learn those first, with each other.

You’ll have plenty of time to explore kink once you’re an adult. I promise you’ll both enjoy kink (and vanilla!) more and, as importantly, you’ll make your later partners less miserable, if you…

STAY OUT OF KINK WHILE YOU’RE A MINOR!

And FFS, if you’re an adult let minors have their goddamn space!
