Just gonna put it out there that your mom’s usually pretty fucking nearby when you’re born, and almost everyone dies surrounded by family, friends, or others who are attending you – and generally speaking most of them would rather keep you around.  

We may live lonely, and may die lonely too.  But not the fault of all around us, is it?  No, it’s not.

You want to talk about illusions keep hanging on to that whole 20th Century Gothic / existentialist / “rugged individualist” conceit.  You have no idea how many people would gladly die for you.
