I haven’t been on a “proper” First Date first date with anyone for ages and ages. Not since discovering I was a Daddy a few years ago…
But thinking about my best first dates makes me realize OMG I’ve always been such a Daddy!!!
Because while I’ve had plenty of first dates in the sort of places people have them: fancy restaurants, high-brow movies like Aguirre, the Wrath of God, or concerts with trendy regional performers…
The best first dates were always at Zoos or Aquariums, bakeries that sold adorable cupcakes, going to vintage Disney or Studio Ghibli movies, often followed up by ridiculously long walks late into the evening where we’d wind up at a city park or school playground with my date sitting in a swing and me pushing her.
[Note: best fantasy first-date ever would involve watching electric towers jumping rope!!!]
I thought I was just being goofy and a little bit counterculture.
I… just… think I’ve always a Daddy. And had no idea!
I could have been doing this for years. Could have been embracing being a D/Lg Daddy instead of a not very convincing Dom.
